Indirect detection of low mass dark matter in direct detection experiments with inelastic scattering

چکیده

We revisit the detection of luminous dark matter in direct experiments. In this scenario, scatters endothermically to produce an excited state, which decays a photon. explore ways electron recoil signal from decay photon can be differentiated other potential signals with narrow spectral shape. find that larger volume/exposure xenon detectors will unable differentiate origin without significant improvements detector energy resolution around order magnitude. also what learned about generic higher detector. Motivated by advancements solid-state detectors, we sub-eV enables discovery LDM presence background levels would otherwise make observation impossible. used determine shape spectrum and thus constrain mass velocity distribution.

Collider , direct and indirect detection of supersymmetric dark matter

We present an overview of supersymmetry searches, both at collider experiments and via searches for dark matter (DM). We focus on three DM possibilities in the SUSY context: the thermally produced neutralino, a mixture of axion and axino, and the gravitino, and compare and contrast signals that may be expected at colliders, in direct detection (DD) experiments searching of DM relics left over f...

The Direct and Indirect Detection ofWeakly Interacting Dark Matter

An ever-increasing body of evidence suggests that weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) constitute the bulk of the matter in the Universe. Experimental data, dimensional analysis and Standard Model particle physics are suucient to evaluate and compare the performance of detectors searching for such particles either directly (e.g. by their scattering in germanium detectors), or indirectly...

Neutralino Dark Matter Direct and Indirect Detection Rates

Supersymmetric particles may constitute the dark matter which permeates the halos of galaxies and is distributed throughout the Universe. In this note we brieey review the most recent calculations of diierent types of detection rates of relic neutralinos and we compare our theoretical evaluations with relevant current experimental results.

Elastic Scattering and Direct Detection of Kaluza–Klein Dark Matter

Recently a new dark matter candidate has been proposed as a consequence of universal compact extra dimensions. It was found that to account for cosmological observations, the masses of the first Kaluza-Klein modes (and thus the approximate size of the extra dimension) should be in the range 600-1200 GeV when the lightest Kaluza-Klein particle (LKP) corresponds to the hypercharge boson and in th...
